Day 1: Vientiane – arrival (No Meal)

Arrive in Vientiane. Upon arrival meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Vientiane (meals incl: B/ L)

After breakfast, visit Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous, sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Phatuxay Monument, which is Vientiane ’s own Arc de Triumph.

Day 3: Vang Vieng – Tubing and sightseeing (meals incl: B/ L)

Transfer to Vang Vieng. Amazing mountain sceneries, beautiful landscapes and village visits along the way. Upona rrival, check-in hotel. Enjoy a short tubing along Somg river about 2hours. Vang Vieng tubing can be as relaxing or as hedonistic and adventurous as one desires. Bars have sprung up all along the river offering cheap beer, rope swings, zip lines, and large decks for socializing. Tubing has become one big excuse to party in the river. Floating lazily from bar to bar with a drink in hand is a great way to escape the scorching afternoon sun. Enjoy the stunning view of the town.

Alternative:  Walk in the great mountain scenery and visit of surrounding caves. Enjoy sightseeing the stunning landscape of Vang Vieng.

Day 4: Xieng Khouang (meals incl: B/ L)

After breakfast, We drive to Xieng Khouang, which was devastated by American bombing between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. We then drive out to visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are littered all over the plateau. We also have time, this afternoon seeing the old capital of Muang Khoun Province and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people. They have an interesting local culture and a colorful history.

Day 5: Luang Prabang (meals incl: B/ L)

Early morning, visit Central Market of Phonsavan to watch different Hill Tribes bartering and exchanging merchandises.

Aafternoon, drive to Luang Prabang, drive passes through splendid scenery and past many panoramic lookout points on the winding mountaintop road.  There are several stops en route to take in the scenery.  Arrive in Luang Prabang, check into the hotel, and enjoy an exploring the former royal capital & crown jewel of the ancient Lane Xang Empire (pronounced ‘lan sang’) – the Land of a Million Elephants. Shopping Night Market.

Day 6: Luang Prabang – City tour (meals incl: B/ L)

After Breakfast, Visit Wat Visoun, the site of impressive Thad Makmo stupa.  The rounded dome is 1stylistically more Sinhalese than Lao. Continue to visit Wat Mai.  Built in 1796, the five-tiered roof of the wooden Sim (chapel) epitomizes the graceful Luang Prabang architectural style. Visit Wat Xieng Thong further emphasizes the uniqueness of Luang Prabang, its several roofs sweeping low to the ground.  See also the impressive “tree of life” mosaic here.  The gilt panel on the exterior of the chapel depicts semi-erotic episodes from the Ramayana.

Climb up Phou Sii hill stands right in the center of this small city. Climb its 350 steps to enjoy commanding views for many miles in each direction. Wat Phu Sii sits atop the mountain, along side the skeletons of Indochina war anti-aircraft guns! Shopping Hmong market, where hundred of Hmong vendors display their handmade handicraft.

Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 7: Luang Prabang (meals incl: B/ L)

After Breakfast, visit the National Museum, once a king’s palace.  Displayed inside is a lovely collection of personal artifacts of the royal family, including photos, musical instruments, and many gifts received from the dignitaries of foreign countries.

Begin a Mekong Riverboat trip with your guide on the mighty Mekong River to visit the famous & sacred Pak Ou Buddha Caves. These caves, overlooking the confluence of the Mekong & Ou Rivers from on high, have been home to many thousands of Buddha images that were placed here by local people since 16th century, when King Setthathirat found the caves and declared them a holy spot.

On return Visit Por SA Paper Handicraft & textile area at Ban Xang Khong.

Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 8: Luang Prabang – Hanoi (meals incl: B/ L)

After breakfast, check-out at hotel. Drive out of town 30KM to the beautiful Kuang Sii Fall, where you can swim, relax, soft trek to the top of the fall. On return short stop at Black Hmong Village, where hill tribe hand-made handicraft as souvenirs for visitors passes by.

Alternative: Riding Elephant for sightseeing

Together with our local guide, you will proceed to the “Elephant Village” about 15 km out Elephant riding, Elephant Tour in Luang Prabangof town and in the middle of a green, natural surrounding, settled on the banks of the Nam Khan river. Here you will be introduced to the protected Asian Elephants and go out for a scenic ride in the beautiful settings along the river. Enjoy the new perspective and the wonderful nature on this 30- 40 min Elephant ride through which you support the rescue of our former logging Elephants. A stunning landscape, tranquillity and lush Lao nature gives you a relaxed stay on the back of the Elephant. Lean back in your seat and enjoy this exceptional Elephant experience…

Lunch will be served on the river view terrace overlooking the Nam Khan river and the surrounding landscapes. A short boat ride will bring you to the amazing Tad Sae waterfalls (not in dry season from Jan-August). Here you can hang out and relax for a while in the refreshing waterfall cascades. A short boat trip will bring you back to the Elephant Village.

After lunch, transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, check-in at hotel.

Day 9: Hanoi – city tour (meals incl: B/ L)

08:00 – 08:30 Meet your tour guide at your suggested places around Hanoi Old Quarter.

Start the trip with Tran Quoc pagoda, a Buddhist relic and national heritage lying on the West Lake.             

Visit Ho Chi Minh complex, the final resting place of Viet Nam’s greatest father; his house-on-stilt and One pillar pagoda – modeled after a lotus flower, a symbol of Hanoi.

 Visit Temple of Literature constructed in 1070 dedicating to Confucius, sages and scholars. It was also the first university of Viet Nam once.

12:30 Relax and have lunch at a local restaurant in Hanoi Old Quarter.

After having lunch, there are 2 options:

  • Option 1: On Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Explore daily life of traditional ceramics village of Bat Trang. Visit showrooms and see how they model the products
  • Option 2: On Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday: visit Ethnology museum to learn about cultures of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam

15:00 Arrive legendary Hoan Kiem lake. Visit Ngoc Son Temple dedicated to Tran Hung Dao – General Commander for his struggle against Mongolians.

 15:30 Drop you off.

Day 10: Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay (meals incl: B/ L/ D)

8:00-08:20 – Meet your tour guide at suggested places around Old Quarter for Ha Long Bay.

12:30 – Embark at Tuan Chau Harbour, Ha Long City. Transferred by tender to Ha Long Cruise. Greeted by crew members followed by welcome drinks, get cruise briefing and check in cabin.

13:15 – Enjoy set lunch onboard while cruising on bay then freely relax with sea wind.

14:50 – Drop anchor at Vung Vieng fishing village (Belong Bai Tu Long Bay), tender will take passengers to visit one of the largest and oldest fishing village on Ha Long bay, exploring the lives of local fishing villagers and then visiting the farm of pearls processing.

15:10 – Return drop anchor, there, some options for extra activities such as: Kayaking, Swimming (* jump on from tender or at the beach nearby Vung Vieng village) with joyful time.

17:30 – Get back cruise, take shower Then join in Sunset party …while the cruise’s moving to the area of Hang Trong for overnight.

18:00 – On board: Cooking class and Happy hours on sundeck with owl-light

19:30: Gala dinner, then freely relax with other choices: Squid fishing or Karaoke or chatting & drinking to each other on sundeck.

Day 11: Ha Long Bay- Ha Noi (meals incl: B/ L)

6:30 – Wake up for Taichi on sundeck in windy air while the boat’s going to Surprising Cave (Sung Sot amazing cave)

 7:00 – Breakfast with tea, coffee, cakes, fruit juice, milk, cereals.

 7:45 – Visit Sung Sot amazing cave with millions of surprising stalactites and stalagmites – one of the biggest & most beautiful caves on Ha Long bay.

 9:30 – Back to the cruise, check out room. Relax on board while it’s moving towards Tuan Chau Habour

 10:30: Time for Brunch

 12:00 – Crew say thanks to all. Passengers then get on bus back to Hanoi.

 17:00 – Drop off at the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.

Day 12: Ha Noi- Hoa Lu- Tam Coc- Bich Dong Pagoda (meals incl: B/ L)

08:00- 08:30 Meet your tour guide at suggested places around Hanoi Old Quarter.

Depart for Ninh Binh province (90 km south of Hanoi). Have a break 20 minutes en-route to free your legs.

 Arrive at Hoa Lu, which was once depicted the ancient capital of Viet Nam, settling up in the 10th century.

 Visit temples of two dynasties of Dinh and Le with a very unique architectures in the old time.

Learn about ancient culture through an excavation of vestiges of Royal Palaces ground dated 10th century.

12:30 Arrive Tam Coc. Relax and enjoy lunch in a nice restaurant nearby.

Board the sampan boats in Tam Coc going along river among the villages, mountains and rice fields. Passing through 3 caves “Hang Ca – First cave, Hang Hai – Second cave, Hang Ba – Third cave” to get a wonderful feeling. Boat returns to the dock for bus drive back to Hanoi.

 18:00 Arrive in Hanoi.

Day 13: Hanoi – departure (meals incl: B)

After breakfast, free at leisure till the time for you to be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
